Shell Station Sign

This project was not only one of my favourite ones of this year, but the most challenging, and ultimately rewarding.

This client had discovered a 5'x3' aluminum sign at a garage sale, and wanted something special painted on it for his workshop. As a vintage car enthusiast, what better than a picture of an old Shell Gas Station and a couple of '32 Ford Coupes. This 1930s Shell Station (authentic re-creation) still stands in the 'Gilmore Car Museum' in Hickory Corners, Michigan. I always love seeing the prevalent places my commissioned pieces end up. Once the sign found its home, I was invited over to take a few pictures. When I got there I was in for an extra special treat. The owner proudly presented, his recently purchased 1932 Black Ford Coupe to match the painting. It was amazing to peek in and breathe in the new car smell, and as you can see he is ready to go cruisin'.

Thank You for the Opportunity to work on this project Bryan! What a great experience!
